it started with my own self-care journey

Crystal Bar Soap began with the belief that something as ordinary as washing your hands, stepping into the shower, or drawing a bath could become a moment that brings you back to yourself.

I never set out to create a traditional beauty brand. I wanted to create something that made caring for yourself feel beautiful, meaningful, and a little more magical.

MADE WITH HUMAN HANDS

From the first bar to everything we create today, Crystal Bar Soap has always been made by hand. Every product is created in small batches by our team of women in Los Angeles, carrying the marks and details that make handmade work feel personal.

CREATED WITH INTENTION

Every creation begins with an intention. We bring together crystals, scent, color, and symbolism to create products inspired by the moments we move through—protection, transformation, confidence, love, release, and beginning again.

MADE FOR REAL LIFE

We believe rituals do not need to be complicated to be meaningful. Sometimes a ritual is simply taking a longer shower, choosing how you want to feel, or giving yourself a few quiet minutes before moving into whatever comes next.

How It Started

Ordinary days deserve beautiful moments.

2015

The First Bars

Crystal Bar Soap began in Calgary, AB, Canada after a visit to a local crystal shop sparked a slightly unusual idea: what if we placed crystals inside soap? The first bars were made at home, shared with friends, and eventually taken to a local market—where they sold out almost immediately.

By the end of 2015, Crystal Bar Soap had already received local attention from publications including the Calgary Herald. VoyageMIA, and more!

"We were not trying to reinvent someone’s entire life. We were finding a way to place a little more intention inside something they already did every day."

When Everything Changed

An INSIDER video introduced our crystal-infused soaps to millions of people around the world. The response transformed our tiny business almost overnight and inspired a leap that would shape everything that followed: moving Crystal Bar Soap from Calgary to Los Angeles.

Today

A World of Ritual

What began with one crystal-infused bar has grown into a women-run world of handmade bath and body creations, seasonal collections, astrology, crystals, and everyday ritual. The studio is larger and our products have evolved, but every creation still begins with the same intention: to make an ordinary moment feel worth noticing.

More than a decade later, we are still creating for the person who needs a moment to slow down, reset, and come back to themselves.

FROM MY RITUAL TO YOURS

Crystal Bar Soap has grown and changed in ways I never could have imagined when I made those first bars in 2015. But what matters most has remained the same: creating something that makes you pause, feel cared for, and remember that your ordinary moments matter.

Thank you for allowing our creations into your showers, baths, homes, gifts, celebrations, and new beginnings. Every order supports the women who make, photograph, pack, and send these rituals into the world—and I will never stop being grateful for that.

With love,

Katrina Wright
